Have you ever needed to send a file to someone but it was too big to email? Concerned about it sitting on some intermediate server for a while?
There are several sites to help you send large files but not very many as simple as Sendoid. Sendoid is an on demand, peer-to-peer file transfer system. Files are sent directly from your computer to the recipients (and encrypted along the way) without passing through any intermediate servers. Sendoid's web interface limits total transfer size based on the resource availability of your local machine, usually somewhere between 600MB and 1gb. So you should be able to send an entire CD to someone else.
If you need to send Joe a file, just go to the Sendoid site, select the file that you want to send and whether or not you want to add password security. In a couple of seconds, you'll get a custom URL that you can email to Joe. When he clicks the link, your computers establish a secured connection and the file is transferred from your machine to his. Just be sure that you do not close your browser or navigate away from the page or you'll break the link and the transfer will fail.
The next time that you need to send someone a big file, try this.
